On November 14, 2019, while the country was observing the birth of anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the students, and faculty of the MBA department at the Invertis University, Bareilly was gearing up to pull off the most awaited event of the year, Mascot Reloaded: The Essence of India. With expectations soaring high and the euphoria surrounding the event building up, conducting it successfully was anything but a breeze. This fire packed event featured several highlights that made it the talk of the town.
Event Highlights: What Made Mascot Reloaded a Must-Attend Event?
The blazing performance by the Fire Brothers Band took the entertainment quotient of the event quite high while setting up the ambience to perfection. The delightful performance by the RDX group and Monika Dance Academy dance Troop left everyone wanting for more. Rapper Rahul Kori with his unpretentious swag made the millennials lip-sync his catchy songs. Setting the mood right with their melodies Faheem Niyazi and Group enthralled the audience with their soul-touching kawallis. Life may not be a barrel of laughs but renowned comedians Prem and Satish made sure you wouldn’t feel as if it’s not. They added the perfect dash of humour to the event with their comedy show. For all the adventure lovers out there, Mascot had horse riding as one of the many activities held at the event. The Indian food and accessories stalls displayed their culinary expertise and served some lip-smacking Indian dishes to the foodies flocking the stalls. Students loved playing management games with their friends and had a great time competing with each other. An enthusiastic performance by the Bhangra group brought the attendees to the feet, quite literally. Who could have stopped himself from breaking into a dance hearing the ‘desi’ beats of the dhol? The mesmerizing dance performance by Crystal Queen was perfectly choreographed and well balanced. A major highlight of the event, the fashion show- ‘The Essence of India’ had models representing all the states of India through their attire. Representing the culture and traditions of the country, every model on stage was equally cheered by the students, reflecting their strong sense of pride towards their motherland. A lucky draw gave the perfect end to this event, filled with fun and frolic. As the emcee for the event, RJ Khushboo was absolutely amazing.
With an aim to celebrate the culture and tradition of our culturally rich and diverse country, the organizers from Invertis University made sure Mascot Reloaded had all the elements that made it a must-attend event for all. Students in the MBA department made this event a great success and on the way learned the essentials of management in a practical manner. Events like these are not just meant for entertainment purposes but they are a great way to harvest skills like leadership, coordination, communication and crisis management in the students. Events like these bring students from varied backgrounds together for the same cause and help them experience and learn powerful life lessons.
